Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has ordered the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to start the construction of five new flyover bridges on two of the roads being constructed in the State within the next 2 weeks.      The affected roads are Sango- Akute-Ojodu Abiodun which will have three and Ilo-Awela that would have the remaining two at its border point with the Lagos – Abeokuta express way.     Governor Amosun who gave the directive today during the Treasury Board meeting on the 2014 budget said the step became necessary to ensure free flow of traffic on the two roads.     He enjoined contractors handling road projects across the State to be executing them in phases, saying this would reduce hardships faced by people plying them and ensure speedy completion.     Presenting the Ministry’s budget proposal for next year, Commissioner Olamilekan Adegbite disclosed that it intends to construct two roads in each of the Local Government Areas in the State, pointing out that new roads would also be constructed within Ijebu Igbo, just as the Papalanto – Ilaro Road would be attended to.     Arc. Adegbite expressed optimism that by the end of this year, sections of Ilara – Ijoun – Eggua Road and Ayetoro township roads would have been completed in consonance with the 2013 budget.     The Commissioner also sought for a review of the law that established OGROMA, the State Road Maintenance Agency. According to him, this becomes necessary to suit its new role of maintaining highways in the State.
