Kelechi Iheanacho has been voted the most valuable player at the just concluded FIFA U 17 World Cup in the United Emirates thus going home with the Golden Ball Award.

Iheanacho who also scooped the Silver Boot award after emerging as the second highest goal scorer with six goals to his name, is indeed one of the shining lights in the tournament just concluded in the Gulf Sate as his contribution was massive in Nigeria securing a record fourth title.

Already being touted to be on the wish list of some top clubs in Europe, Iheanacho is also a candidate for rapid promotion from the U17 team.

Interestingly, the myth that Asia is a lucky ground for Nigeria in the U 17 tournament has again played out well, as the country's previous three trophies were won on Asian soil, with the fourth now added.
