Job Summary:

•   Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the PMTCT Officer will provide technical and programmatic quality as well as leadership to the PMTCT (Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV) project in Bayelsa State by working with partner CSOs and appropriate Government Agencies to address PMTCT issues within the state.

•   The jobholder will provide technical support to initiate and implement PMTCT and HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support activities in Bayelsa.

•   Responsible for community planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of awareness, management and training activities required for the program.

•   The jobholder will work with CSOs and community networks to refine, update and assure implementation of specific work plans for program activities.

Minimum Requirements:

•   BA in Public Health, Development, Public Administration or any another related field

•   Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Maternal and child health

•   Proficiency in developing and managing a budget; experience in developing strategic plans, work plans, fund raising plans; knowledge of sound financial, human resources, and administrative policy anprocedure

•   Experience in facilitation and training

•   Fluency in local language both spoken and written of selected communities is a plus
