Job Title: Legal Advisor

Job Overview:  – Reporting on a Regional level, you will be tasked with providing consultancy on legal matters to the parent group and subsidiaries, in close coordination with internal and external local counselor when it corresponds, in order to provide a legal service that properly protects the institutional interests, minimize the operational risks that the group and subsidiaries participate in, to prevent future conflicts.  – Supervise and work with local legal areas for the establishment of policies, procedures and reports that provide operative information for each area and identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibility Areas:

•   Control and coordinate the company's defense, related to litigation issues (Corporate, Civil, Criminal and Administrative) in order to ensure the best legal advice is provided.

•   Consult and implement the licenses process (operative, land use and construction) and / or permits for DCs and bottling plants, which ensure that the company always keeps in compliance with applicable laws.

•   Receive and analyze internal reports of possible unusual transactions and provide legal advice with regards to resolutions.

•   Identify the risks of non-compliance of the applicable laws to the company, relating to current and/or future company plans.

•   Ensure that each operation report on the activities that develops, and have a legal implication, or that may affect the normal company operation or the good image of the group.

•   Advise the Country Manager of a possible legal contingence, relating to the implementation of activities, products, promotion, strategies or tactics by the company.

•   Check or prepare all the contracts (lease, services, security, confidentiality, supply, purchase – sale, work contract, etc) to regulate the activities for the operation of the bottling plant and Distribution Center.

•   Ensure that all required permits and authorization for the operational development are valid or otherwise under renovation / processing.

•   Ensure that all societies have properly documented their corporate activities.

•   Resolve consultations or prepare legal reports about topics or subjects that are relevant to operations / group. If necessary derive the consultations to specialized external consultants.

•   Advise and support the company on insurance matters.

•   Monitor and support the process of legalizing the foreign staff.

•   Assist in the collect the money of past projects.

The Candidate:

Essential Requirements:

•   Relevant Legal Qualification. e. g B.Com Law  or LLB qualification

•   Postdegree /Master / Courses : Business Law, Commercial, International.

•   Specialization or Corporate Law Master

•   Advanced level of English and Spanish

•   Minimum 6 years experience as a corporate lawyer in business groups, multinational corporations or in top level offices.

•   Manufacturing/ FMCG environment ideal. (Specific experience within a beverage company will be a distinct advantage)
