Baker Hughes requires the services of a Technical Support Engineer to provide technical support to Nigeria & Equatorial Guinea Measurement/Logging While Drilling for all down hole and surface systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

•    Manage software setup/update for GM field service employees on company assigned laptops

•   Work with Reliability Assurance team in troubleshooting and field incidents analysis to improve reliability

•   Keep checklists and job guides updated and implement best practice for a flawless execution outcome

•   Drive participation in testing and introduction of new technology

•   Assist with rig up, upgrades, commissioning etc. as required by Operations

•   Participate in pre-well & execution meetings

•   QC MAPS data updates and lead the operation daily meetings.

•   Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes core Values.

•   Mentor, coach and develop Nigerian & EG  field service engineers for flawless execution at the rig site

•   Monitor and ensure field computers and AMO test machines are running on the latest and greatest software for a successful outcome.

•   Drive Job cycles compliance in the GeoMarket and update BHOS with MoM or evidence of compliance

•   Participate in tendering activities focusing on Baker Hughes technology deliverable and limitation

•   Handle special projects as assigned by Operations

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

•   Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Science

•   3-5 years experience in Measurement/Logging While Drilling

•   Functional understanding of product line

•   Good communication skills

•   Leadership role that tests and builds cross functional team development skills

•   Experience with product development and R&D projects

•   Experience in presenting to cross functional groups

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

•   Product Line knowledge

•   Drilling Tools technical knowledge

•   Knowledge of Systems based product design

•   Technical problem solving skills

•   Root Cause Analysis and Verification knowledge

•   Intellectual Property knowledge

•   Technical Software/Engineering Systems knowledge

•   Good Leadership abilities
