Job Title: Business Development Manager – Construction

Job description:

•   Develop new and maintain existing client relationships.

•   Seek clients in company target markets through networking and direct contact with potential clients and their representatives.

•   Generate project/business opportunities and RFP's through client contact to meet company's business plans and growth strategies.

•   Drive the sales process from inquiry/RFP coordination through "Closing the Deal".

•   Lead the development and preparation of RFP's, Pre-Qualification, formal presentations.

•   Ensure all communication with clients are in accordance with company standards and correct in content and format.  

•   Solicit client feedback through the project proposal and execution phases.

•   Collaborate with company management to prepare and implement the company's Marketing and Business Development strategies.

•   Plan and strategy for meeting business goals.

•   Demonstrate knowledge of the industry, proven relationship with principal decision makers in the industry and with potential clients in government, international, private and non-governmental organisations.  

•   Proven record of securing substantial civil engineering projects within the industry in Nigeria.

Desired Skills and Experience:

•   HND/BEng. in any Engineering discipline with minimum of 10 years cognate experience in the Construction Industry with at least 5 years at managerial or supervisory level.  

•   Very good knowledge and understanding of the Construction industry in Nigeria and the basic guiding statutory laws, contract principles and implement issues will be an added advantage.

•   Candidates should have strong links to industry and knowledge of the business drivers for our key markets.  

•   Experience in managing construction contracts in infrastructures development will be an added advantage.
