Oshiomhole denies attacking Jonathan

The Edo State Government has reacted to the report that the state governor Adams Oshiomhole attacked Acting President Goodluck Jonathan at the meeting between the acting president and governors under the aegis of the Governors' Forum penultimate Tuesday. In a statement sent to BusinessDay, Tony Iyare, special adviser on media to Governor Oshiomhole, the state government denied the governor attended a meeting summoned by former governor of Delta State, James Ibori to explore several options to emasculate Jonathan before he fully consolidates his hold on power. According to Iyare, the governor also did not provide logistics for any such meeting.
