Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of the Provost of Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya in consonance with the provisions of the Kaduna State College of Education, Law 2006 (as amended) on the appointment of a substantive Provost.

Description: The Provost is the Chief Executive Officer of the College and charged with the day to-day general administration of the College.

Requirements:

Candidate for the position of Provost should:

•   At least not below the rank of Principal lecturer (from Colleges of Education) and Senior Lecturer (from the University system).

•   Possess at least a Master Degree in one of the core subjects offered in the College. A Doctorate Degree will be an added advantage.

•   Possess a teaching qualification and must be registered with the Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria.

•   Have spent at least seventeen (17) years of Post-graduate working experience, ten (10) of which must have been spent in teaching and research.

•   Produce evidence of academic publications in reputable journals as well as presentations at educationally related conferences, seminars or workshops.

•   Must be of good conduct, possess sense of discipline, dedication, drive, resourcefulness and be able to command the respect and loyalty of the members of staff and students.

•   Be computer literate.

•   Be medically fit for the job.

Condition of Service:

•   This is according to the provisions of the law and as obtained in other similar Colleges of Education in the country, the appointment in for a term of four years in the first instance and renewable subject to satisfactory performance for another four (4) years and no more.

•   The salary of the Provost is consolidated and the Provost shall enjoy other benefits as may be approved by the Kaduna State Government from time to time.
