Department Description:

•   Drive the implementation of Oracle Marketing strategy and programs in MEA (Middle East & Africa) and support the region's business plan.

•   Drive the implementation of Oracle Marketing & Channel Marketing strategy and programs in MEA and support the division business plan. Scope: Reports to the Senior Director of Marketing, Systems Business, EMEA. Works as part of the MEA country management team and works closely with the VP of Sales, Systems Business, MEA. Also works closely with other Sales & Marketing teams ECEMEA & EMEA, PR, Advertising, Oracle Direct, Business Development, Pre Sales, Product, A&C & Channel. Proven ability to lead and manage a multicultural and multi-geographic remote team.

•   Develop and lead the execution of the MEA marketing plan, aligned with corporate & EMEA priorities and supporting the local business priorities. Act as a key contributor to the MEA marketing team to ensure knowledge sharing and maximizing economies of scale in the development and/or execution of local campaigns. Providing direction, leadership and motivation for the marketing team & satellite teams.

•   Disseminate key information to MEA operations pertaining to market trends and conditions and the Oracle vision and strategy. Manage the activities of the team according to the marketing plan and work cross LOB to synergise planning and execution. Ensure consistency between global directions and MEA implementation choices. Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve marketing objectives. Provide effective performance management: set SMART goals for all direct reports, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Operate in line with Oracle's processes and procedures.

•   Systems or software business management experience Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, working cross LOB, digital marketing (Eloqua experience a bonus), E-business and Social media. Professional credentials in Marketing University degree, post graduate degree a bonus or equivalent experience. Minimum of 12-15 years relevant business/software experience in Marketing or Business. Comprehensive knowledge of the software & systems market and preferably the Oracle product portfolio. Self motivated to continuously expand professional knowledge.

•   Ability to work in a high pressure, fast moving, challenging environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, highly creative & problem solving skills and organisation & project management. Effective communication and building effective relationships are also key competences.

Detailed Description:

•   As a manager in product marketing, you will be responsible for leading the development of company marketing specifications for specific product(s) or product line(s).

•   Manage marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan to meet company objectives.

•   Monitor the development of business plans and business results of e-marketing. Manage lifecycles and product positioning in the market place.

•   Identify customer needs, oversee market research, and monitor the market trends/competitive landscape.

•   Implement and monitor advertising campaigns.

•   Act as a technical advisor for specific product(s).

•   Initiate and foster relationships with development, sales, and other groups to develop new products or enhance functionality of existing product(s) or product line(s).

•   Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Job Requirements:

•   Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers.

•   Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy.

•   Functional expertise and broad company knowledge.

•   In-depth knowledge of the computer industry, database and development technology and markets.

•   Extensive marketing analysis experience.

•   BA/BS degree.

•   MBA preferred.
