Centre for Continuing Education of the Federal University Of Technology, Akure invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admissions into the following Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes for the 2011/2012 Academic Session

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE ARE IN THE FOLLOWING SCHOOLS:
a. School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT)
b. School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET)
c. School of Earth and Mineral Sciences (SEMS)
d. School of Environmental Technology (SET)
e. School of Sciences (SOS)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
i. A first degree with at least third class honour in relevant discipline.
ii. Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least lower credit in relevant discipline.
iii. Any equivalent qualification approved by the Senate of the University

All candidates must possess five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics at WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME:
Postgraduate Diploma Programmes are run for a duration of three semesters but Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science, Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Applied Geology and all courses in the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology are run for a duration of four semesters.

PURCHASE OF ADMISSION FORMS
•   Application forms for PGD Programmes are obtainable from the Office of the Administrative Secretary, Centre for Continuing Education, Federal University of Technology, Akure at the rate of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only.
•   Sale of forms starts from Monday, 4th July, 2011 and ends on Friday, 26th August, 2011 for all PGD Programmes.
•   Payment of application fees should be made at the Accounts Section of the Centre for Continuing Education.

CLOSING DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS
•   All completed application forms with the required relevant documents including NYSC Certificate should be returned to the PGD Programmes Office of the Centre for Continuing Education, Federal University of Technology, Akure not later than Friday, 9th September, 2011.
•   Candidates are expected to visit the website of the Federal University of Technology, Akure www.futa.edu.ng for the outcome of their applications as from Friday, 7th October, 2011.
