Sokoto State To Employ 100 Diploma Holders As Drivers

The Sokoto State Government has
concluded plans to employ about 100 diploma holders as drivers for ministries, departments and agencies in the state.

The Head of Civil Service in the state, Alhaji Bature Shinkafi who disclosed this yesterday said that the drivers will be employed from the 23 Local Governments Areas of the state.

"The initiative is sequel to the changing trend which requires educated persons to handle hi-tech and modern vehicles. Most of these modern vehicles had been fully equipped with computers and other hi-tech gadgets'", he explained.

Shinkafi said the State Government had bought some vehicles which needed effective and proper handling by educated and highly-skilled manpower.
