Governor Fashola Saddened By The Building Collapse at Idumota Lagos

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, had expressed his sadness over yesterday's collapsed building at John Street, Idumota, Lagos State. He said the government were doing everything possible to rescue the people. As soon as the collapse happened, the state emergency agencies reacted promptly.

Presently, 37 people were rescued, 32 were treated and released while 5 are still at the state hospital. The access to the incident site is tight but the state is using light sensing equipment to detect people that might be trapped.

Residents of the area have been implored to leave the place and allow emergency and rescue experts do their job effectively. The governor further ensured that all injured will be rescued.
