Man United to bid for Modric with cash and 2 players in exchange

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly preparing to make an offer for  Luka Modric and the Old Trafford boss is willing to offer two of his players, former Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov and defender Jonny Evans, as well as around £10-12m to help persuade the North London club to sell the Croatian international.

Ferguson is very keen on bringing in Tottenham's creative midfielder Modric and is hopeful he can beat the advances from Chelsea and Manchester City for player.

Modric has already publicly stated his intention to leave White Hart Lane and though Spurs boss Harry Redknapp does not want to lose such a crucial member of his starting line-up he may well feel he has no choice other than to get as good a deal as possible for the talented 25 year old.
