The Kebbi State Government has approved the employment of 4,000 teachers for secondary schools in the state. The approval was contained in a statement signed by Alhaji Abubakar Mu'azu, the Press Secretary to the governor on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi.
.
Mu'azu said the Council had directed the Civil Service Commission to release employment letters to newly employed teachers.
.
The Council, he added, had also directed immediate biometric capturing of the teachers to enable them to receive their salaries immediately.
.
It will be recalled that 20,000 teachers applied for employment in the state in 2012 and 8,000 were considered for training at the state-owned University of Science and Technology where 4,000 were employed.
