Nigerian FG Approves Vision 2020 Blueprint

Nigerian government at the Federal level has approved a blueprint for Vision 2020 aimed at transforming the country's economic well-being, under a new National Development Plan. The master plan is expected to support the developmental goal of the country to become one of the top 20 global economies by 2020, with GDP of $900 billion and a per capita income of $4,000. FG had earlier disclosed plans to harmonise the 7-point agenda and the draft National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (NEEDS-2) in a new National Development Plan expected to cover a 3-year period from 2009 to 2012.
