Coach Steve Bruce is set to name John O'Shea as Sunderland's new captain, upsetting current skipper Lee Cattermole.

Cattermole was named Sunderland's skipper at the start of last season but reports have shown that the former England Under 21 midfielder is set to be replaced by O'Shea, 30, who joined from Manchester United last week.
