The union condemned the failure of government to pay outstanding 'Earned Allowance' arrears and political statements being made by government functionaries regarding the payment which has put serious pressure on union leadership at both the national and branch levels.

The communiqué which was signed by the union's President Comrade Samson Ugokwe, charged the federal government to also set up a committee to renegotiate the agreement.
