NDIC Donates N40m Library To ESUT

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has donated an ultra-modern Library and a bookshop worth N40 million to the Enugu State University of Science  and Technology (ESUT), as part of its policy to support Government's programmes in developing the education sector.

Commissioning the Bookshop, named after the Vice-President, Arc. Muhammad Namadi Sambo, the Chairman of NDIC, Ambassador Hassan Adamu, said that the project was part of the corporation's policy of intervention in the country's higher institutions.

He disclosed that the NDIC had intervened in virtually all federal and state universities, adding that ''ESUT applied to us requesting for a library and we have granted the request.''

Ambassador Adamu, who doubled as the Chancellor of the University, urged the students to make good use of the Library and Bookshop as they were built to enhance their learning.

The Managing Director of the Corporation Alh. Umaru Ibrahim, said that as a matter of policy, NDIC helped to fund various projects in universities and other institutions across the country.
