MANAGERIAL LEVEL: ENTRY – MID

PURPOSE: – The role of the Literacy Teacher is essentially to build and maintain a successful Literacy Support program. To plan a variety of activities and exercises to help students improve their literacy skills. Prepare lesson plans and teach English to speakers of other languages. This includes teaching English grammar, writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills, including teaching pronunciation and vocabulary.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Knowledge, Experience& Personal Competencies:

Knowledge: – Education B.Ed, PGDE

Minimum of 3 8 years' experience in similar role – Good diction – Competent in British curriculum

IGCSE – Check point exams experience – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

ICT literate.

Experience – Significant teaching experience – Proven expertise in Literacy – Up to date knowledge of international literacy Standards.

Personal Competencies/Specifications; – Age: 25-35 – Gender: Male/Female – Good interpersonal and human relations skills – Qualified class room teacher – Excellent oral and written English skills – Curriculum development knowledge.
