Christopher University is a private university approved by the Federal Government on February 25, 2015 and licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to begin academic operations on March 5, 2015.

Responsibilities: – The Registrar, a Principal Officer, is the Chief Administrative Officer of the university responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University except for financial matters, which fall within the purview of the Bursar, The Registrar is also the Secretary to the Council, Senate, Convocation and Congregation of the University. – The candidate shall be a person of high integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relations. – The Candidate must be able to instill confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people. – The candidate must fully understand the complexity of a university system and must be able to effectively utilize its human resources to attain a world class administrative system. – The candidate must be in good health, be ICT complaint and must not be older than sixty (60) years at assumption of duty. – In addition the Registrar must be able to demonstrate dynamism and wisdom when confronted with crisis or undesirable situations. – S/he must also be an achieve  who should show exceptional abilities for institutional loyalty and networking with the outside world.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: – Candidates must possess a good honours degree and at least fifteen (15) years of post qualification administrative and professional experience, with a minimum of five (5) years at the management level. – The candidate must not be at a level less than the equivalent of a Deputy Registrar in a Federal University. – Possession of a higher degree and membership of recognized professional bodies will be an added advantage.  – University and not be more than 65 years old on resumption of demonstrated astute managerial ability to maintain the peace and academic stability for which the University represents; – A scholar of outstanding national and international repute, with proficiency in information communication Technology (ICED) and considerable experience at top levels of University Administration; – A Professor with track record of teaching, research and community service; – A person of entrepreneurial and innovative predisposition, with a proven track record appropriate to the vision and mission of a first class university. – A person endowed with strong character and ability to give courageous and effective leadership; – A person capable of inspiring the advancement of learning and reaching out to all persons without discriminationin any form; – Of sound health, pleasant disposition, unassailable integrity and strong moral character for inspiring and maintaining moral discipline among staff and students; and – Of proven ability to initiate contacts and funding from national and international sources.
