The Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Mr. Ekpo Nta, has called on vice-chancellors to introduce anti-corruption courses in their institutions as part of the efforts to fight corruption.
.
Nta, who made the call at a workshop on academic integrity in Nigerian universities, organised by the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria in Abuja, said that the process of teaching anti-corruption should take place at the foundation level in the form of general studies in each of the universities of the federation.
.
He stated that it was not proper to wait for somebody to leave the higher institution before introducing lectures on anti-corruption.
.
The ICPC boss added that the University of Calabar had already taken the step to introduce anti-graft studies and had made noticeable contributions to the international design for the introduction of such studies.
