Corinthians make new Tevez £39m bid

Brazilian side Corinthians have made an improved offer for Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez.

Earlier this week they failed in a £35m offer for the Argentine striker and are understood to have come back with a £39m bid.

"I do know there has been an increased offer," Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian told Media sports, "but the bid only went in on Friday and it's very early stages."

City want close to £50m for Tevez.
