Alleged sack of 5,000 workers in Ekiti

According to recent reports, 5,000 workers from 16 local government areas in Ekiti State have been sacked by the state government, on allegations of false declaration of age, fake academic certificates and overstay in office. Earlier, the state governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, had authorized the sack of 27 directors of administration and treasurers of local governments, for failing to pass promotion examinations conducted for officers of that cadre.
