A jester once remarked that if Americans did not check the rate at which they were spending so much on buying almost all their food from China, they would one day find themselves involuntarily speaking Chinese. Hilarious? Yes, but Nigeria too may require this warning even more if the revelation coming from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, that Nigeria's food import bills from 2007 to 2010 reached the 98 trillion naira mark, is anything to go by.
