The Job:
The candidate will be required to support the Company's Finance function in the provision of timely and accurate Financial information, by ensuring that the financial systems and processes underpinning accounting and reporting are effective and enhance the accuracy and completeness of statutory and corporate information management and reporting.

Tasks:
•   Provide guidance in the recording of transactions, and recording of transactions related to the Company's operations.
•   Prepare schedules to the financial statements and other reports, while ensuring that internal controls in financial reporting mechanisms conform to corporate and statutory requirements.
•   Manage designated General Ledger accounts including related reconciliations
•   Participate in audits by providing necessary schedules for the auditors as may be required, and prepare explanations and responses to audit queries that may be raised.
•   Conduct/participate in annual transaction verification exercises and act as focal point for dealing with queries on assigned accounts.
•   Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the fields of industrial technology, business, finance and economic theory.
•   Any other related activities as may be assigned from time-to-time, with respect to accounting and reporting, as may be determined by management and shareholders.

Requirements
•   Possess a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
•   Possess a minimum of three (3) years post-graduation experience preferably in a top audit firm or an Oil & Gas company.  A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) and a good knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications (especially Excel) will be an added advantage.
•   Possess good interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
•   Not be more than 30 years old.
