Boko Haram And Soldiers Clash leaves 1 dead, 2 Injured

The Joint Military Taskforce has said a clash between soldiers and youths in Maiduguri, Borno state, over the arrest of suspected members of the Boko Haram sect has killed one person and wounded two.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Army spokesman, Lieutenant Olumide Olukoya, confirmed that fighting started on Tuesday in Biu City in Borno state.

He added that a woman died from gunshot wounds in the clash after authorities arrested clerics and suspected members of the sect, and that about 150 rioting youths later torched a government building and a catholic church.
