Siasia Threatens Etuhu For Rejecting Invitation For National Call

A fresh coach-player saga looms in the Super Eagles as Samson Siasia joins issues with Fulham midfielder, Dickson Etuhu.

Siasia, who has just made up with West Brom striker, Osaze Odemwingie over the player's AWOL early this year, threatens he may not invite Etuhu to the national team any longer.

Siasia had extended a late call to Etuhu and fellow England-based player, Danny Shittu for a botched friendly game against Ghana last Tuesday night at the Vicarage Stadium, Watford as injury and visa issues kept away some possibles from the game. Shittu heeded the call but Etuhu turned down the invitation as he feels he was being treated like a fifth wheel of the wagon.

However, reporters gathered from 'The Moment from London, a talkshop TV programme yesterday that Siasia is fuming.

''Siasia was highly disappointed about what Etuhu did. It is not as if he was not in Siasia's plan, the coach wanted to call him up for future games, but now I don't think he would do that again because he is very unhappy about what the player did,'' said a source.
