Teragro Limited, the agri-business subsidiary of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp) is seeking for highly motivated professionals to work in its new fruit juice concentrate processing plant at Makurdi, Benue State.

Job Title: Production Officers
Ref: PDO/2011/09

Energetic, reliable, hardworking and talented professionals to serve as Production Officers.

Position Summary:
•   The Production Officers will assist the Production Manager in the coordination and management of plant operations including machining, assembly, receiving, stores, tool room and maintenance consistent to improve the plant's performance in shipping, inventory, and throughput.
•   Other duties of the role will include Inspecting products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines, studying production schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignment, Interpreting specifications, prints, and job orders to workers, establishing work procedures to meet production schedules and recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

Essential requirements for the role:
•   At least 3 to 5 years cognate experience is required.
•   OND, HND, or BSc in Chemical or Industrial Engineering, Food Science and other related fields
•   Membership of a Professional body is an added advantage.
•   Organizational, planning and analytical skills.
•   Effective communication skills (verbal and written.
•   Attention to details and good team buildings skills.
