VP: Senators opt for Makarfi, Shagari

The jostle for the vacant post of Vice-President heightened on Friday night with Senators loyal to President Goodluck Jonathan recommending four candidates. Investigation by The Nation revealed that Senators loyal to the President met for several hours on Friday night in Abuja under the aegis of the National Interest Group which was used to actualise the initial Acting Presidency for Jonathan.
