Family Health International in Nigeria is seeking a qualified person for the following position:

position: Senior Health Services Management Advisor

Job Description:
The Senior Health Services Management Advisor will work under the supervision of the Associate Director HPSM to provide technical leadership in the planning, implementation and monitoring of FHI Nigeria's health systems initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to FHI's provision of technical assistance to the Ministry of Health at all levels to develop/review, implement and monitor health systems policies and strategies
• Provide, on behalf of FHI, inputs/technical assistance to government on health systems policies, strategies and proposal development processes
• Provide, on behalf of FHI, health systems technical assistance to MoH at all levels as required.
• Contribute to the development of FHI Nigeria's health systems strengthening strategy and work plans that clearly addresses the WHO HSS building blocks
• Demonstrate and document links between planned health systems work and improving, scaling-up and sustaining FHl's health programs
• Oversee the implementation of FHI's current health systems grants
• Oversee the health economics unit and expand its current scope by identifying potential areas of beneficial work and developing necessary strategies and work plans
• Collaborate with the MoH and other partners to develop innovative technical strategies, tools and systems to strengthen health systems at the LGA level
• Provide key technical inputs to improve FHI's decentralization and service integration projects
• Develop effective marketing strategies for FHl's health systems and sustainability work
• Identify new funding opportunities for health systems strengthening and health systems research and contribute to proposal development processes
• Develop and implement framework for capacity development for the different departments in the design and implementation of evidence-based health systems 'policies and practices related to their technical programs and units

Minimum Requirements:
• BS/BA in public health, behavioral sciences or other related fields and MPH with 7 years experience
• Or MD with a minimum of 5 years working experience in applied health policy and health
systems analysis
• Experience working with NGOs and CBOs
• Strong knowledge of HIVIAIDS, TB and malaria activities and programming
• Practical experience in budget development and analysis. is desirable
