National record holder in the women's high jump, Doreen Amata, is calling on the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) to come to her aid in order to commence early preparation for next year's Olympic Games. The jumper ended the 2011 season on a high, having gotten to the finals of the World Championships, the first Nigerian woman to achieve that feat in her event, as well as successfully defending her title at the All Africa Games.
