Aregbesola Will Bring Succour To Oriade – MBO

Member, Osun State House of Assembly representing Oriade State Constituency, Honorable MBO Ibraheem  has assured the people of his constituency that the current administration in the state led by Mr Rauf Aregbesola will bring succour to the council area.

The lawmaker said the challenges of social amenities confronting the area, which include motorable roads, functional health centres among others are being giving serious attention by the state government.

He gave the assurance while speaking at the 19th Anniversary of Ipetu Ijesha Day 2011 and N1billion Development Fund launching, held last week Saturday.

Ibraheem, while calling on the people on the need to work together for the development of the town, reaffirm the state government's commitment to rehabilitate some major roads leading to the town.

He said the process of rehabilitating the major road in the town leading to Ilesha and Owena has commenced, saying the road project will be extended to Elekojunction.

On the Ipetu Ijesha General Hospital , the lawmaker said he had liaised with the appropriate authorities to demand for medical doctors and confirmed that the two doctors are currently working in the hospital.

He equally pledged to build a mini-laboratory for the hospital to improve its services..

Ibraheem also donated N250,000 for the development of the town and presented cash prices to school children, who excelled at the quiz competition  organized to mark the anniversary .

Also, Osun State governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola represented by his Special Adviser on Local Government, Chieftaincy Matter and Rural development, Honourable Bisi Odewumi donated N500,000.

Other donors includes Chief Taiwo Fatiregun, Chairman Oriade local government, N500,00 on behalf of the council and N100,000 in his name, while  Dr Wale Bolorunduro, the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning, donated N100,000 on the occasion.

Earlier in his address, the President, Ipetu Ijesha Club and Association, (FICA) Chief Tunji Oluwatayo commended Argbesola's transformational programmes and urged the government to sustain them.

He said, " we have noted with happiness, the OYES, O- CLEAN, O-REAP and other "O" programmes of the Osun State government. Our appeal is that these beautiful programmes should be properly implemented because at the end of the day, people will be happy if the education, health, electricity, water supply, agriculture, roads among others are well taken care of."

He commended Hon MBO Ibrahim, saying his performance so far has vindicated his choice to represent the constituency.

The president then called on the state government to accelerate Ipinrindo to Ipetu Ijesha road project, considering its economic importance and the repair of major roads in the town, which had almost cut the town into two.

Osun Defender
