Job Description:
1.     Assist Business Unit Head and SORO in coordinating, driving and directing effective compliance and operational risk management at the business unit level.
2.     Implement controls within the business unit to meet all regulatory and internal requirements.
3.     Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, periodic monitoring activities and timely resolution of risk issues.
4.To provide MIS support for the Team in effective monitoring and control, identify business opportunities
   
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1.     To be the source of reference within the business units in facilitating and promoting the understanding of OR and compliance requirements.
2.     Lead and support implementation of OR initiatives for the business units.
3.     Proactively communicate with the Business Unit Head and SORO on operational risk issues. Escalate significant events to Business Units Head /SORO/Business Head as appropriate.
4.     Coordinate and consolidate Operational risk and loss reporting of the units for the reporting to the BORC, SORO and Business Unit Head. Ensure data accuracy and completeness.
5.     Design and implement control measures and monitoring plans for compliance and operational risk management. Ensure effectiveness of controls for compliance monitoring and risk management.
   
Qualifications & Skills:
- Relevant knowledge of Consumer Banking practices and products
- At least 1-2 years of managerial experience, mainly in branch operations, item processing  and centralised processing.
- Minimum first degree/professional qualification
- A high degree of computer literacy and CBT techniques.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of the bank's direction and strategies.
- Good leader
- People Management skills
- Proficiency for project management/co-ordination/implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of banking operations/systems/methods and procedures
- Sound knowledge of local laws and regulations governing operations of financial institutions.
- Working knowledge of eBBS, Optial, Phoenix and MS office .
