Job Title: EHS Co-ordinator
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Reporting To: Country EHS Manager
Type of position: Permanent

Job Purpose/Scope:
•   Co-ordinate Environment Health and Safety actvities as stipulated by the GSK EHS-MS so as to ensure compliance with all relevant EHS requirement.
•   Ensure Environmental, Health and Safety of all employees, contractors and visitors.
•   Protect company's assets
•   Build public trust

Key Responsibilities:
•   Lead the Technical, Environmental & Fire Protection aspects of EHS program.
•   Monitor Developments in relevant EHS requirements and advise the management system accordingly.
•   Co-ordinate risk assessments of all facilities, equipment and processes.
•   Monitor compliance to safety standards, effectiveness of safety measures and opportunities of improvement through daily walkthroughs and by organising EHS inspections.

Qualifications, Experience:
•   B.Sc/HND in Engineering or Science
•   Professional qualification in Occupational Health and safety
•   5 years manufacturing experience at least 3 of which must be in Environmental Health and Safety
•   Competencies   Very good knowledge of national/state/local legislation and industry standards.
•   Good knowledge of Data Analysis and reporting.
•   Knowledge of application of Environmental Management System.
•   Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint packages.
•   Good facilitation skills.
