Real Madrid defeated  Atletico Madrid 4-1 on its soil, in the Spain Primera division league.

The games was a stuff one that got two Atletico Madrid players sent off, in the both halves of the game. The red cards resulted in two penalties in favour Real Madrid, which was converted by Christiano Ronaldo for goals.

Following the win, Real Madrid top the Spanish league table with 6 points ahead of Barcelona, who lost a recent game against Getafe.
