The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies is calling for applications for its fellowship programme designed for university teachers holding a PhD – with a preference for women and junior academics – from Africa, Asia and Latin America.

This fellowship is open to outstanding young professors from universities from developing and emerging countries pursuing advanced research in areas bridging the fields of international and development studies, broadly defined, and working in disciplines such as anthropology, history, law, politics and political science, and economics.

Candidates must teach and carry out research in the fields of specialisation of the Graduate Institute, broadly speaking those of international relations and development studies.

Scholars will spend one semester at the Institute to:
- Further a personal research project
- Update and strengthen their teaching curricula
- Interact with the Institute's academic community and Geneva-based international experts

The programme is fully-funded.

Deadlines for applications:
- 1 March for the autumn semester
- 1 October for the spring semester
