Lagos NBA To Hold Rally Against Subsidy Removal

 IN support of the on going protests against the removal of fuel subsidy, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch yesterday said it will hold a rally of lawyers on Monday Jan 9,2012

According to a statement signed by Ebun Adegboruwa, the association said the rally will take off at the Lagos High Court, through Tafawa Balewa square to Defence Street, to Broad street junction and to State House, Marina.

It called on all lawyers based in Lagos, Surulere, Lekki, and the environs to attend the rally.

The statement read: "The dress code is black suit, white shirt on black tie. Speeches will be made by leaders of the Bar, stakeholders and a letter to President Jonathan will be delivered at State House, to round up the rally."

It announced that there will be no sitting of courts during the period of the protest declared by labour and Bar leaders.
