IT seems the orgy of violence being perpetrated by the dreaded Boko Haram sect is far from abating as the group on Wednesday  attacked a South East bound  luxury bus at Potiskum in Yobe State, killing four persons  including a woman.

Also,  the sect on Wednesday  carried out their dastardly act by attacking a police station, killing an officer and carting away arms in Jambutu area of Yola in Adamawa State.

Meanwhile, to check the Boko Haram insurgency in Borno State, Governor Kashim Shettima has pledged to build seven Tsangaya (Quranic) schools in various parts of the state  to provide both Western and Islamic education.

The bus, according to an eyewitness, Mohammed Abubakar, was conveying some traders from Maiduguri to the South-East when the gunmen opened fire on the passengers through the windows.

Confirming the incident, the Yobe State Police Commissioner, Tanko Lawan said that the gunmen came on two motorcycles covering their  faces with black clothes, before firing shots through the windows of the bus at a  filling station.

He said no arrests had so far been made, adding that the victims' bodies had been deposited by the Joint Task Force (JTF)) at the Potiskum General Hospital.

An eyewitness account revealed that at about 8p.m., two young men on motorcycles rode  into the police station which is located near the Jambutu motor park and opened fire on officers on duty, killing one of them.
