McDonald’s/NBMOA Hospitality Scholars Program 2010-2011

McDonald's USA and the National Black McDonald's Owners Association (NBMOA) have partnered with UNCF to award scholarships to African American students interested in the restaurant industry. Applicants must be U.S. citizens majoring in restaurant / hotel / hospitality management, accounting, business or marketing as full-time students at an accredited 4 year U.S. college or university and have an interest in restuarant management. Other qualifying criteria are sophomore, junior, or senior classification 2.8 cumulative grade point average and residency in one of the following U.S. jurisdictions – Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington state, West Virginia or Wisconsin.

Deadline for electronic application submission is midnight, Monday, August 23, 2010 by which time all recommendations must be received and transcripts uploaded.

Scholarship Value: up to $ 5000

Classifications: College Junior, College Senior, College Sophomore

Minimum GPA: 2.8

Eligible Majors : Accounting, Business, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Marketing, Restaurant Management

Eligible Schools: Open for 4 Year Colleges Only
