Picasa Photo Organizer is a free application provided by Google that enables you to organize and edit your digital photos and make them accessible on the Internet for friends and family through the integrated photo-sharing website.

The interface is very pleasant and allows you to browse through your photos in a second. It automatically scans a desired location for pictures and organizes them on folders, showing you thumbnails for instant browsing.

The program works with JPEG, GIF, BMP, PSD, and movie files and is compatible with most digital cameras; it detects your USB driver and imports pictures into albums. Editing tools include cropping (standard or custom), removal of red-eye, and enhancing--even switching from color to black and white.
