Key Activities:

•   Liase with account officers in the various locations(where applicable) to obtain information / reports

•   Collate and consolidate trial balance and financial reports

•   Checks and confirms the accuracy of general ledger codes

•   Maintain and update the fixed asset register

•   Maintain and update work in progress register

•   General accounting codes

Reliability of Reports:

•      Timeliness of financial reports

•      Relevance of reports to decision making

•      Accuracy of reports

•      Clarity / Language in reports

Record Management:

•       Completeness of Reconciliation register

•       Accuracy in filing an easy retrieval of documents

Knowledge and Skills:

•   Accounting systems and practices

•   Month end close

•   Knowledge of financial policies and procedures

•   Financial Management

•   Numerate

Educational Requirement: A first degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Professional Qualification: A member of ICAN, ACCA etc

Experience Required: At least 7 years cummulative work experience in finance and accounts function, 3 of which must have been in a supervisory role.
