The first time I heard a diplomatic bad news from South Africa is when I read that S/African police invaded the Nigerian embassy late last year for whatever reason, they said the embassy denied some people visa. I do not take that news serious because I think it is almost impossible, it could just be a way for some media outlet to sell, but the recent deportation of 125 Nigerians is no longer a news.

This singular action shows that South Africa has problem with Nigeria beyond yellow fever documents. I have known for over 5 years that yellow fever vaccination document is a requirement to get South Africa vi South Africa and I also know that it is sold for as low as 500 or 1000 at the South Africa embassy in Abuja.

In fact, most travelers don't no if they could get it from any hospital, they just buy it from the people outside the embassy. I have not heard of any deportation since 5 years, doing it now shows some thing is really wrong somewhere.

I believe South Africa only used that as an excuse, but it beyond that. For no reason should South Africa treat Nigerians bad. We stood by them when there is no one. During the Apartheid, Nigeria was there for South Africa as the mouth piece of Africa and we contributed to their independent struggle in no small way.

If there is any problem, it should be reported to the Nigerian government for action not maltreating the same people who stood by you.
