The Federal Government of Nigeria has applied for a credit from the international Development Association (IDA) towards the implementation of Community and Social Development Project (CSDP)

The overall goal of the CSDP is to improve access to services for Human Development (HD). To achieve this goal the Project Development objective is to sustainably increase access of poor people (in rural Communities) to improved social, natural resources and infrastructure services in a sustainable manner through the provision of grant support to beneficiaries for identifying, prioritizing. Implementation and maintenance of Community driven micro projects under approved Community Development Plans.

In order to ensure effective implementation, Niger State Government requires the services of the below staff for the CSDP.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position below:

Position: Manager Operations

Qualifications:

•A university degree or Higher Diploma in Agriculture, Engineering. Extension Services, Social sciences, Natural sciences, Project Management and any other relevant degree, with at least twelve years post qualification experience.
•Previous experience in rural development projects shall be considered as additional advantage,

Duties of Operations Manager

The Operations Manager shall be in-charge of: supervising and coordinating the overall activities of the operations department

•supervising the processing of applications seeking SA funding and technical/management support;
•ensure conduct of desk and field appraisals and forward to the Project Management Committee for review based on set criteria;
•Providing overall supervision of formulation and implementation processes of CDPs and micro projects by CPMCs.
•ensuring the maintenance of records on all CDPs and Micro-projects on a continuous basis; and passing on such information to the M&E department;
•deputizing for the GM and acting for him in his absence; and ensure that requisite assistance are rendered to communities as and when required.
•Liaison with relevant MDAs to provide technical and back-up support to communities.
•Consolidate annual work plans and budget of the department •Provide quarterly and annual projections for CDP and micro projects implementation

Remuneration

•The advertised key position has attractive remunerations commensurate with the mode of entry and in accordance with agreed terms with the World Bank
