Bowen University has called on all candidates who chose the institution and scored the minimum required cut-off (180) in the 2012 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for their Post-UTME screening test which comes up on 12th May, 2012.

According to the memo passed across to us, the general O'level requirement to enter the school is as follows;

5 Credit passes in either SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or approved equivalent in not more than 2 sittings for English Language and 4 other relevant subjects for the course of study.

If you intend to study Medicine and Surgery(MBBS) programme, the above O'level requirement should be in 1 sitting.

Requirements for DE Candidates

All applicants for direct entry must satisfy any one of the following:
1. NCE, ND and approved equivalents with at least Upper Credit in relevant fields.
2. The Bowen Foundation Year Programme (BFP) at acceptable pass level.
3. At least two Advanced Level passes
4. The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) International Baccalaureate or Cambridge moderated School of Basic Studies at acceptable grade levels.
5. In addition to the NCE/ND/IJMB or two Advanced Level papers to be specified by the Faculty or programme, candidates must also satisfy Ordinary Level requirements.

Please Note: In addition to the two 'A' Level papers, Candidates must have credits in three other relevant 'O' Level subjects. Candidates with NCE/OND must also satisfy the appropriate basic 'O' Level requirements.  Direct Entry Candidates are not to appear for the University Screening Exercise scheduled for Saturday, May 12,  2012 but must appear for interview at a date to be announced later.

How to apply into Bowen University

i. Once you are sure you've met the requirements for the school, visit Any of the following banks and obtain a non-refundable bank draft of N6,500 payable to BOWEN UNIVERSITY, IWO:

Completed Application Forms must be returned to the respective Submission Centres stated above not later than Thursday 10th May 2012

All candidates are requested to submit their application forms with the following:

(a) Photocopies of all relevant credentials including 2012 JAMB DE/UTME Registration / Result Slip,
(b) Birth Certificate,
(c) Two stamped self addressed envelopes,
(d) Photocopy of receipts of Bowen University admission forms,
(e) Additional passport photograph and
(f) The Yellow copy of the Acknowledgement Card.

On the Screening Day

All applicants are to appear for BOWEN University Screening Exercise to be conducted by the University on Saturday 12th May 2012 at their respective centers listed below:

The screening of candidates will start at 9.00am.

Bowen University has announced additional list of shortlisted candidates for 2012/2013 admission screening exercise for 2012/2013 UTME/Direct Entry applicants.

The following candidates whose names appeared in the list have been short listed for "the second stage of the Screening Exercise" for admission into Bowen University for the 2012/2013 Academic Session.

All candidates are to report at the university campus on Saturday, 2nd June, 2012 at 9.00 am in the following faculties:
