Thousands march in support of Mali junta

Bamako - Thousands of people took to the streets of Bamako on Wednesday to show their support for the military junta which ousted President  Amadou Toumani Toure's regime, an AFP journalist reported.

The protesters brandished banners reading "Down with France", "Down with the international community", while shouting "Sanogo solution" in support of coup leader Captain Amadou Sanogo. - Sapa-AFP
