Kwara Central Senatorial Saga: Fake Judgment On The Way

Saving Nigeria's democracy and uphold the rule of law is my concern, but it seems our judiciary has already been bought over.

The legal battle over the Kwara Central Senatorial district between the immediate past governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Alhaji Ayinla Kolawole Jimoh over who was actually the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to be concluded tomorrow at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja under Justice Ibrahim Auta, and from the information reported on kwara radio, it seems the judgment is already bought and that Dr. Bukola Saraki has gone through the back door to secure a fake victory even before the judgment.

In the said suit, the plaintiff, Alhaji Ayinla Kolawole Jimoh a Second Republic gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Republican Party (PRP) is laying claim to the senatorial seat and wants the court to determine the authentic candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between him and Saraki.

Bukola Saraki was a presidential contestant when the PDP primary election took place in kwara. This automatically means he his not a senatorial contestant, but he later ordered a re-run election after the first election had already produced a candidate to pave way for himself to contest, but other contestant did not participate in the re-run election and he declare himself winner of the primary.

Alhaji Ayinla Kolawole Jimoh is asking the court to declare the re-run primary election done by Bukola Saraki as illegal and unconstitutional and also declare him the authentic PDP senator for the Kwara Central Senatorial District.
