Oni resumes as PDP S-West vice chairman

IBADAN—NATIONAL Vice Chairman, South West, of Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olusegun Oni yesterday assumed office as the zonal leader of the party.

After the formal handing over of the mantle of leadership by his predecessor, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, Oni stressed the need to bury all the previous crises that led to the failure of the party to retain the five South West states it was controlling.

During his tenure, he said, he would not allow chieftains of the party who lobby their ways in Abuja to further deepen the crisis.

At the  zonal stakeholders forum, he commended the exemplary role of the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

He said, if the party could be lucky to have ten loyal and committed leaders like Obasanjo, the party would better be off.
