The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Nigeria's main militant group, has claimed responsibility for the attack which killed more 12 people and left many wounded in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, on Friday, 1st of October, 2010, during the 50th Nigeria's Independence Anniversary.
