The Federal Government has planned to inject five million jobs into the labour market within the next two years under its new contract policy.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has also adopted the National Action Plan on Employment Creation (NAPEC), and the Minister of Labour Employment and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu, while speaking on the new policy said up to five million jobs could be created within two years under the NAPEC.

Under the new policy, all contracts under consideration by the Federal Executive Council must henceforth indicate local employment content under a new contract policy adopted by the Federal Government.

Chief Wogu was speaking at a conference on: "Creating wealth with integrity in the 21st Century Nigeria," organised by Computerise Nigeria Project of Zinox Computers.
