Falconets coach sure of victory against Zimbabwe

As the Super Falconets take on  the Young Mighty Warriors of Zimbabwe in the return leg of the second round fixture of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup qualifier in Harare today, head coach of the team, Edwin Okon  has said his squad is prepared for a stiff contest against  their host, even as he assured that they will win out-rightly in the end.

Though the Falconets won 3-0 in the first leg decided in Abeokuta  a fortnight ago,  their coach was not impressed with the performance and has promised that they will come out  better today.

A win or a draw would see them  advance into the third and final round of the Africa qualifying series.

Speaking with Sunday Vanguard sports, coach Okon said "we have been able to work on the attack. Two weeks ago we were not superb in our attacks and I promised I would work on that and I have done that.

I believed that the girls  have learned from the past encounter and are ready for the match. I' m confident we will get the ticket".

Meanwhile, four teams from Africa are expected to qualify for the next round with two teams representing the continent at the World Cup in Japan from August 18 to September 8.
